1. Definitions

1. "the-fitting-room.co.uk" is the online trading division of The Fitting Room (formerly Stewarts Lingerie) 23 The Grove Promenade, Ilkley, West Yorkshire, LS29 8AF.
2. "Customer" means the person, firm or company buying or agreeing to buy goods and services from The Fitting Room.
3. "Price Paid" means the price paid by the Customer for the Product excluding carriage and any credit surcharge.

2. Prices and Ordering

1. Unless otherwise stated all prices are exclusive of value added tax @ 20%. The Fitting Room's VAT number is .
2. The price payable by the Customer will be the price current at the date of the order.
3. Orders are accepted by writing, Internet, telephone or fax.

3. Payment

1. Payment is due on receipt of an order - we accept all major credit cards (except American Express/Diners Club). Personal cheques can be posted to the address below, made payable to The Fitting Room, but please note goods will not be despatched until the funds are cleared.

4. Credit card security.

1. The Fitting Room uses PayPal to take credit card payments online. PayPal uses a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. It is our top priority to ensure that transaction data is kept secure at all times. We DO NOT collect or have access to any credit card details

5. Delivery & Returns

1. Any delivery date stated is only a warranty by The Fitting Room to use reasonable endeavours to ensure delivery by that date. No liability will be accepted by The Fitting Room for failure to meet a stated delivery date. Generally, items will be despatched within five working days. Customers will be advised of the expected delivery date on custom-made or modified products at the time of order.
2. Products supplied by The Fitting Room are delivered at the risk of The Fitting Room. Customers must make a claim for damage or loss of the goods in writing within seven days of delivery. No claim for loss or damage will be allowed if the Customer claims outside the above time limit.
3. Custom made or modified products are non-returnable (unless faulty)
4. Delivery charges. Orders under £100 will be subject to a £7.50 delivery charge. All orders over £100, delivery is free of charge.

6. Consumer Rights

1. If you are a consumer (a private person buying for their personal use) then you may cancel your purchase at any time within 7 days of receipt and we will give you a refund of the Price Paid. You must inform The Fitting Room in writing and return the Products to us immediately in the same condition you received them, at your own cost and risk.

7. Guarantee

1. If within 12 months of being delivered a defect in any Product is discovered which is directly due to faulty goods or workmanship, then The Fitting Room shall at its option repair or replace the Product free of charge for labour and materials. Please note that slight colour variations are not considered a fault. This does not affect your statuatory rights.
2. A Product covered by a direct warranty from the manufacturer is not covered by this guarantee. The Customer will receive a warranty direct from the manufacturer and should claim under this warranty.
3. This clause does not affect your statutory rights.
4. You are responsible for your own choice of Product and the suitability for any particular purpose. You must ensure that any Products are compatible.

8. Privacy Statement

1. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. The Fitting Room does not sell or trade any information supplied by its customers.
